The AMD Difference

Intentional Breeding with Purpose

Breeding isn’t just a hobby for us—it’s a responsibility we approach with care, knowledge, and intention. Years of research, education, and thoughtful planning have gone into building our breeding program. We carefully select foundation dogs based on health, structure, temperament, coat, and color to create balanced, healthy litters. Every dog in our program undergoes comprehensive health testing to prevent genetic diseases.

But our commitment doesn’t end at puppy placement. We follow each pup’s journey into adulthood, staying connected with their families. By gathering ongoing feedback about their temperaments, we continuously refine our breeding choices, aiming to produce well-tempered, healthy dogs suited for both loving family homes and service or therapy work.

Service Dog Curriculum & Temperament Testing

How do we match puppies so precisely to their families? Our secret is a blend of proven puppy protocols paired with our own specialized approach. We follow the Badass Breeder (BAB) puppy curriculum by Jeanette Forrey of 4eKennels—a hands-on, eight-week program that exposes puppies to new environments, sounds, obstacles, and handling techniques like Early Scent Introduction (ESI) and Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS).

This curriculum goes far beyond simple socialization. It’s about intentionally teaching puppies the world is safe, people are kind, and other dogs are friendly. At around 7 weeks (day 50), each pup undergoes detailed temperament testing. The results, including videos and evaluations, are shared with families to help find the best puppy match for their lifestyle and goals.

Building Meaningful Relationships

Matching the right puppy with the right family starts with building a genuine connection. We listen carefully to your hopes and expectations—even if it means guiding you toward a different breed. Our relationship with families continues long after the puppy goes home, offering support, guidance, and answers. After all, no one knows our puppies better than we do, and we’re committed to being their voice throughout your journey together.

Education & Community Connection

We are passionate about promoting responsible dog ownership. Through social media, we share simple, effective training tips and connect families to trusted resources like Baxter & Bella Online Puppy School to boost success. We’ve also launched AMD Kids—a fun, engaging program designed to teach children about caring for dogs responsibly.

Giving Back—Making a Difference

Making a positive impact is at the heart of AMD. We breed dogs with temperaments suited for service and therapy roles. One of our proudest moments was donating Shepherd (formerly Smoky from our #amdnationalparkslitter), a service dog candidate, to a wonderful family with a special needs child. Partnering with The Malinois Foundation, Shepherd’s training was fully sponsored. You can follow their inspiring journey using #shepandkensi on social media.

We also donate a portion of our profits to organizations supporting vulnerable people and animals. This year, we contributed to Lilly Pad, A Soft Place to Land, a nonprofit transforming foster care spaces into warm, comforting environments for children. When you support AMD, you’re also supporting causes like these.
