Being a guardian family for a dog can be an excellent way to have a top quality dog for a family pet without all the expense.

We want every breeding dog in our program to be a family pet first and foremost. We place our breeding dogs that don’t live with us into guardian homes guardian homes have become an important part of our program and it benefits everyone, the dog, the forever family and the breeder.

The puppies are whelped at our home and the mama stays with us until pups are weaned. 

The dog will be owned by AMD and we have full breeding rights until it retires. This timeframe varies based on several factors but will not exceed 7 years.

The guardian home pays for all grooming expenses and regular health/wellness vet visits and expenses (including all recommended monthly heart worm medications). AMD will pay all breeding related costs including the cost to have the dog spayed or neutered upon retiring from our program. At that time the dog’s ownership is transferred to the guardian home.

You must feed your pup/dog TLC Pet Food and purchase it through our link. We have done extensive research into this food and it’s very important to us that you follow our requirements to keep your pup healthy.
